Low Work Experience, Maximising Scholarship

Low Work Experience, Maximising Scholarship

Abhijeet Singh

Marshall, Foster

Abhijeet had only one goal in mind to complete his MBA’s degree in the USA as quickly as possible. He was ambitious and determined, knowing that in today’s fast-paced world, waiting too long could mean missing out. A graduate of a Tier 2 engineering school, he had already made impressive progress by gaining a foothold in operations design and supply chain consulting – a field he was truly passionate about. However, with only three years of professional experience, he faced stiff competition, especially as his profile was very common in the applicant pool.

We knew from the outset that only with a well-thought-out concept could he increase his chances of a good admission with extensive scholarships. Our mentoring sessions focused on refining every aspect of his application strategically positioning his professional experience, highlighting his impact in operations and supply chain, and crafting compelling essays that would make him stand out from the crowd. Because financial aid is often highly competitive for applicants from his demographic, we helped him select the right mix of schools where his profile had the greatest scholarship potential.

We also pushed him to aim high on the standardized tests, knowing that a good score could significantly increase his chances. Following our structured advice, Abhijeet prepared diligently for the FE and eventually achieved a score of 725 – right on targetWe then worked closely with him to tailor his applications to each school, capitalizing on his strengths while addressing any concerns about his relatively limited work experience.

His commitment paid off. With nearly $160,000 worth of scholarship offers from the top 20 programs, Abhijeet is now making his way to the Bay Area to fulfill his dream while making sure he takes on the least financial burden possible.
